Hans, do you remember how scared you were during the Thajudeen murder investigation? You were depressed. You wanted to leave Sri Lanka for good. Your family was crying. You were a mess. Who did you run to then?
Hanif, your memory is very short. Remember the 323 container issue? You were depressed and scared. You called everyone you knew because you were terrified of going to jail. Who did you talk to for advice?
Let’s be honest. Both of you were cowards. To save your own skin, you sold your souls. Hans, you sold out to Mahinda. Hanif, you sold out to Anura.
Good one, you two. Now the whole country knows you have no integrity at all.
But look at the 76-year-old man in jail. Ranil Wickremesinghe was not a coward like you. He did not urinate in his pants. He did not cry. He did not lose his sleep. He faced it.
Here is a challenge for both of you. A simple one. Go public. Make a statement that when you were in big trouble, you did NOT ask Ranil Wickremesinghe for his protection and advice.
Here’s another one. The old man is locked up. Can either of you stand up and say that in all the years you knew him, you have even one story of him being corrupted? Just one? You can’t. Because you know it’s not true.
And Duminda Hulangamuwa, Pravir Samarasinghe. Let’s not forget you. You are the handovers from Wickremesinghe to Dissanayake. He trusted you. Just do the right thing.
To all four of you. Do the right thing. You owe it to the country. You said you joined this Malimawa government to change things. Have you not had enough? Is this the change you wanted?
