It has now become a monthly routine for PS Plus Essential games to leak before the official announcement from Sony. Imagine if it never happened
PS Plus Essential platform owner Sony is expected to make public which complimentary titles gamers should expect in November on 26th October but Dealabs (the French retail site) has gone way ahead of Sony again. So what should gamers be on the lookout for next month? If the Dealabs leak is anything to go by (they keep getting this right each time) subscribers of PS Plus should look forward to the following titles:
- Nioh 2 (PS5, PS4)
- Heavenly Bodies ( PS5, PS4)
- LEGO Harry Potter Collection (PS4)
Such a promising lineup for sure and the combination is stimulating. The major attraction on the trio is Nioh 2 from Team Ninja which is a Souls-like action RPG but for something with a different speed and feel you get Heavenly Bodies which is an indie physics puzzle/traversal game. In Heavenly Bodies, you will need to complete missions in space in zero gravity. The game is playable in co-op and can get very confusing quickly. The list finishes with the LEGO Harry Potter collection which is the plastic platformer that takes on all the Harry Potter movies combined together.
A lot of PlayStation Plus subscribers have an eye out for next month’s features and some have shared their wish lists online some may be a bit disappointed with the titles if none of these crossed their minds. Some games on people’s wish lists included Tales of Vesperia which has never made any appearance on the PS Plus platform and Hades which has seen outstanding reviews from reviewers and players. The actual lien-up may still be interesting enough and fun to play.
With no promising new games for November, the line-up has a few oldies. For example, the LEGO Harry Potter Collection came out in 2016 and is not the latest LEGO video game but many players and reviewers regard it as one of the best, which may be why Sony may add it to the list after all. As noted the game is a combination of different years. This game will only be available on the PS4.
Heavenly Bodies on the hand will be available on both the PS5 and PS4 for players looking for an out-of-this-world physics experience. The game explores space while players solve puzzles and collect space rewards.
Nioh 2 will be available on PS5 and PS4 for free for subscribers under PS Plus Essential. This title brings tough action with endless content and combat dynamics.
We think this is a solid collection for next month’s complementary games though we still have to wait for Sony to either confirm or deny this leaked information. Still, the waiting is for just a few hours. Though bearing in mind Dealabs’ reputation for providing leaks that usually turn out to be true, it’s safe to assume that this is the real thing. Last month Dealabs’ also made a few hours leak of the games available this month for PS Plus subscribers and as it turned out it was true.
Ps Plus Essential lineup for October was
- · Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS4, PS5)
- · Injustice 2 (PS4)
- · Superhot (PS4)
The games are still available until 31st October and can still be downloaded before the month ends.
Sony has also made a few changes to its subscription service that some people have noted. Subscribers for the PS Plus have reported a missing expiration date feature that indicated available days left for players to play available titles. The feature was added to help players know when a game’s availability will expire before new titles were added but users with PS Plus Extra and Premium can no longer see this feature. The tab “Last Chance to Play” is still available and visible though clicking on it will not offer the date that particular game will be removed from the service. Unlike Extra and Premium subscribers, PS Plus Essential Subscribers know that games under their subscription package run for about a month.
The latest leak follows another made a few days ago by the Taiwanese Digital Game Rating Committee which has sparked speculation about a classic PS1 game coming to PS5 and PS4 for PS Plus Premium subscribers. The classic Harvest Moon: Back to Nature may end up on the line-up for PS Plus Premium soon though it’s still uncertain when since the October line-up was released already. The game is part of the Harvest Moon series which is a farm simulation game whose first series was released for the PS1 console. Over the years the game has been remade and re-released several times.
PS Plus Premium subscription is the highest tier in the PS Plus service and includes an additional selection of older titles from PS1, PS2, and PS3. While subscribers have enjoyed a few good selections, they have also raised concerns about the platform lacking good titles but if Harvest Moon ends up on the next list it may prove a good addition for many.
The free games for November under PS Plus Essential platform will be available from 1st November to 6 December 2022 and all tier subscribers will be able to access these free games. Sony is yet to confirm or deny the leak but its official announcement will be made soon. Sony usually follows the PS Plus Essential line-up announcement with a lineup of games for the Extra and Premium subscriptions.
PS Plus Essential is a PS Plus subscription service that brings selected free games every month to members. The service was started in June and has grown to add two other levels PS Plus Extra and Premium.
